Being non-verbal and living with a disability, I know how difficult it can be to voice everything that is going on inside my head and body. Together with my speech therapist, a psychologist and family, I have developed the 'Shift Board' which is a communication system specifically to support metal health and well-being. The well-being system helps me to tell others what's happening in my mind. It allows me to identify problems and emotions and enables me to “shift” the way I am feeling.

By sharing my well-being system I hope to help others who are in a similar situation (non-verbal and verbal) who need to express their emotions and feelings.

In July 2018 I presented and launched the "Shift board", together with my speech therapist Tracy-Kim and my mother, at the ISAAC 2018 conference in the Gold Coast, Australia.
